Installing on Caddo Parish clay
Clay soil doesn't drain the way sandy or loamy soil does, and that changes how an irrigation system actually needs to be laid out, not just installed. It holds water longer, and it shifts with wet and dry cycles the same way it shifts sewer lines and opens up slab leaks elsewhere in a Shreveport house. A zone plan that ignores that ends up with soggy patches next to dry ones.
We plan zones around how the ground actually behaves here, not off a generic layout. That means grouping heads by how fast water actually soaks in on that part of the yard, not just by square footage.

Repair: heads, valves, controllers, and the leak you only see on the bill
Most irrigation repair calls fall into three buckets: a head that has stopped popping up or is spraying wrong, a valve that's stuck open or stuck shut, or a controller that's lost its programming. All three are usually quick to find once somebody's looking for the right one.
The harder one is the leak that never shows on the surface, a cracked lateral line or a valve seeping underground that just shows up as a water bill that has climbed for no visible reason. That's a find it first job before it's a fix it job.

Backflow on irrigation, and why the same shop does both
Every irrigation system needs a backflow prevention assembly, because without one, water can siphon back from your yard into the drinking water line under the wrong conditions. It's not optional equipment. It's the piece that keeps your irrigation system from becoming a contamination risk to the rest of the house.
